Tara is the founder and designer behind The Green Level Home, known for creating spaces that are both beautiful and truly livable. As an interior designer, color consultant, and organizer, she brings a calm, thoughtful approach to every project, balancing style with real-life functionality, the "unseen architecture". With experience in new construction, renovations, and staging, Tara works seamlessly with homeowners, builders, and trades. Her strong understanding of materials and building processes helps clients make confident decisions and enjoy a smooth, stress-free experience. Having built her own home, she understands the challenges that can arise along the way and guides clients with clarity and ease.​

With many of us working, relaxing, and gathering at home, she creates spaces that adapt beautifully to daily routines. From productive home offices to comfortable, welcoming living spaces, Tara focuses on thoughtful, functional design. Every project is personalized, attentive, and centered around your lifestyle and style preferences. TARA’S BACKGROUND
​
Tara grew up within a family textile business based in New York City, surrounded by fabrics and learning the ropes of design, manufacturing, quality, and distribution from a young age. She carried this experience into college while working for an interior designer, and worked for a commercial builder while completing her masters degree - that is where her story in interiors truly began. While earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees, along with advanced industry certifications, Tara spent time in the corporate world before returning to her passion for small business and working one-on-one with homeowners and builders.​Tara has a keen eye for detail and enjoys crafting creative solutions to fulfill her clients’ needs. She loves helping homeowners discover their unique style and implementing it seamlessly into the design so that each space feels personal, intentional, and truly lived in.

The Green Level Home, LLC adheres to the professional ethics and standards set by ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals).

Tara resides in North Carolina with her family and two dogs, Hunter and Olivia. In her free time, she enjoys gathering with family and friends and has a deep appreciation for good food and meaningful connection.
